DJ Khaled – JADAKISS INTERLUDE ft. Jadakiss Mp3 Download & Lyrics
God Did is the thirteenth studio album by American music producer DJ Khaled, and it was released on August 26, 2022, by means of We the Best Music and Epic Records. The album garnered five nominations at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album, Song of the Year, and Best Rap Song for the title track, which features Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend, and Fridayy.
Two songs, “Big Time” (with Future and Lil Baby) and “Staying Alive” (featuring Drake and Lil Baby), served as its backbone. Khaled has been quite open and glad to confess that he is a Muslim who regularly prays. He claims that the album thematizes the constant quest to relate to and honor a higher God for believing in him while others did not. “God has always encouraged me to press on; when things are difficult, I push myself even more. When things are difficult, I work even harder. I don’t let going backward consume my emotions or my energy. I expend my energy trying to find a way to continue. If something isn’t going as planned, I want to be able to pick myself back up, keep moving forward, and find a solution.
The album is the follow-up to his first one, Khaled Khaled, which was released a year earlier.
The album features guest appearances from Drake, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend, Fridayy, Kanye West, Eminem, Future, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Roddy Ricch, Quavo, Takeoff, SZA, Nardo Wick, Kodak Black, Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Gunna, Latto, City Girls, Skillibeng, Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Jadakiss, Vory, and Juice WRLD.
Jay-Z’s performance on the song “God Did” drew praise from critics despite the album as a whole receiving little interest. The stanza was described as “a master class in mature lyricism” by Simon Vozick-Levinson of Rolling Stone and by Complex as “a reminder that he’s still an exceptional writer” and “this verse will defiantly go down among Jay-Z’s best.” According to an Ambrosia For Heads post, Jay-Z’s verse was the finest of 2022.
